Whether you’re replacing an ageing entrance door, improving access to your garden or coordinating a new door with your replacement windows, we’ll help you find a solution designed around your home.

Established in 2005 and based in South Shields, Snugfit Windows supplies and installs uPVC doors throughout South Tyneside, Newcastle and the wider North East.

Why Choose a uPVC Door?

uPVC has become one of the most widely used materials for modern windows and doors – and for good reason.

It’s durable, weather resistant and requires relatively little maintenance, making it particularly well suited to external doors that are exposed to the elements throughout the year.

Modern uPVC doors can also incorporate energy-efficient glazing, effective weather seals and secure locking hardware, creating a practical all-round entrance for your home.

With different styles, colours, glazing configurations and finishes available, your new door can be designed to complement both traditional and contemporary properties.

uPVC Front Doors

Your front door plays an important role in the appearance, security and comfort of your home.

Replacing an older entrance door with a modern uPVC alternative gives you the opportunity to improve all three.

Choose from different door styles, glazing configurations, colours and hardware to create an entrance that complements your property.

If you’re looking for something particularly substantial or want to explore a wider range of premium entrance designs, Snugfit Windows also offers 48mm solid-core Composite Doors.

Our team can help you compare the two options and decide which is best suited to your requirements.

uPVC Back Doors

uPVC is particularly popular for rear entrances because it combines everyday practicality with relatively low maintenance.

Depending on the design selected, your door can incorporate glazed areas to introduce more natural light into the room while providing convenient access to the garden.

Different configurations allow you to balance privacy, light and appearance according to where the door is being installed.

If you’re looking for a wider glazed opening onto your garden, we can also show you our French Doors, Patio Doors and Aluminium Bi-Fold Doors.

A Choice of Door Styles

One of the advantages of uPVC is its versatility.

Your new door can be configured with different proportions of solid panels and glazing to create an appearance appropriate for its location.

A largely solid design may provide greater privacy, while incorporating more glass can allow additional daylight into an entrance hall, kitchen or utility area.

We’ll show you the current styles available and help you select a design that works with your property.

Why Choose a uPVC Door?

Low Maintenance

No regular painting or varnishing is required to maintain the uPVC finish.

Energy Efficient

Modern frames, glazing and weather seals can help reduce unwanted heat loss and draughts.

Secure

Robust construction and modern locking hardware help protect your home.

Versatile

uPVC doors can be used for front, rear, side and utility entrances.

Choice of Styles

Select from available colours, glazing configurations and finishes to complement your property.

Made to Measure

Your replacement door is specified around the dimensions and requirements of your individual entrance.

Energy-Efficient Replacement Doors

An ageing or poorly fitting external door can contribute to unwanted heat loss and uncomfortable draughts.

Modern uPVC doors use insulated frame construction, glazing and weather seals to help create an effective barrier between your home and the outdoors.

Replacing an older door can therefore help improve comfort around the entrance to your property.

The precise thermal performance will depend on the door and glazing specification selected, and we’ll explain the available options when preparing your quotation.

Security for Your Home

External doors are an important part of your home’s security.

Modern uPVC doors can incorporate robust frames and multi-point locking hardware designed to secure the door at several points when locked.

The exact security features will depend on the door system and specification selected.

We’ll explain the relevant locks and security features when helping you choose your new door.

Low-Maintenance Performance

One of the biggest attractions of uPVC is how straightforward it is to maintain.

Unlike traditional painted timber doors, uPVC doesn’t require regular sanding, painting or varnishing to maintain its finish.

Routine cleaning of the frame and panels, together with appropriate care of locks, hinges and other moving components, is generally all that’s required.

This makes uPVC an excellent choice for homeowners looking for a practical entrance that doesn’t demand a lot of ongoing maintenance.

Hats off to this company. They installed new GRP roofs to our dormers a few years ago and when we have had a recent leak they have come back no bother to fix and also carried out extra repairs to the surrounding roof which they didn’t have to. Great job to begin with and fantastic customer service years later.

Having used Snugfit before I had no hesitation in asking them to make a door to connect our living room to bedroom. My wife has MND and is in a wheelchair. Peter did an excellent job, fitted a wider door for wheelchair access. He removed all rubbish and hoovered afterwards. A first class job. I am reluctant to cover it in gloss paint. Highly recommend Snugfit.
